– COMING TO A THEATER NEAR YOU MARCH 22 –

EASTER MYSTERIES is a Musical Feature Film that journeys into the passion of Christ’s death and resurrection through the lens of his disciples and followers.

The story is a celebration that sheds a new light onto the biblical figures of Christ’s story in human terms – ordinary people with hopes, dreams and fears, uncertain of what lies ahead.

The music, libretto and lyrics are by Tony Award-winning Broadway producer John O’Boyle. Danny Goldstein is the Director of the motion picture with Musical Arrangements and Music Direction by Milton Granger.

The cast consists of talented Broadway veterans who have graced the stages of Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, Porgy and Bess, Phantom of The Opera, and more.

Phillip Boykin grew up one of 10 children in low-income housing in South Carolina. Described as “tone deaf” by those who knew his prepubescent voice, Boykin refused to be deterred from his early longings to sing. That tenacity has served him well and led this classically trained singer to a career in Opera, on Broadway, and in film. In spite of odds stacked against him, Boykin’s dreams have always been as big as his impressive physical stature. With a work ethic to match, Boykin is now seeing his dreams realized in big ways.”

77362A host of Broadway favorites will perform songs from the Tony Award-winning musical, on February 18 at Avery Fisher Hall.

Manhattan Concert Productions announced the full list of stars who will join the cast of the concert performance of Stephen Flaherty, Lynn Ahrens, and Terrence McNally’s Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime, on February 18 at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall

The cast now includes: Lilla Crawford (Annie) as the Little Girl, Lewis Grosso (Newsies) as the Little Boy, Michael Arden (Big River) as Younger Brother, Tony Award nominee Patina Miller (Sister Act) as Sarah, Tony Award nominee Phillip Boykin (The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess) as Booker T. Washington, Tony Award nominee Kerry Butler (Catch Me If You Can) as Evelyn Nesbit, Matt Cavenaugh (Grey Gardens) as Henry Ford, Tony Award winner Jarrod Emick (Damn Yankees) as Willie Conklin, Tony Award nominee Manoel Felciano (Sweeney Todd) as Tateh, Tony Award winner Dick Latessa (Hairspray) as Grandfather, Jose Llana (Wonderland) as Harry Houdini, Michael McCormick (Chaplin) as J.P. Morgan, Tony Award nominee

Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera) as Father, and NaTasha Yvette Williams (The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess) as Sarah’s Friend.

The additional performers will join previously announced Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis (The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess) as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Tony Award winner Lea Salonga (Les Miserables) as Mother, and Tony Award winner Tyne Daly (Master Class) as Emma Goldman.

Stafford Arima will direct the production, with music supervision by David Loud, lighting by Tony Award winner Howell Binkley, and set design by Tony Award nominee Beowulf Boritt. The singers will be accompanied by the New York City Chamber Orchestra. This concert marks the 15th anniversary of Ragtime.

Woods Repertory Theater for Youth, Phillip Boykin will join the world renowned pianist, comedian, and magician Emile Pandolfi on “An Evening Of Elegance,” A Benefit Concert for the Phillis Wheatley Association. Also featured in this performance will be the PW Dwight E. Woods Repertory Theater and it’s Founder, Mr. Dwight E. Woods. Your opportunity to send a tax-deductible donations to the Phillis Wheatley Association if you cannot make it, is always welcomed but, you really don’t want to miss this one in a life time concert.
